3-Week Old Chicks

At 3-week old, chicks start to grow their feathers and lose their soft down feather.  They look odd.  I've also read that is it possible to identify the gender at this point.  If the comb is pinkish, it is more likely a rooster.  And if the reddish wattles is starting to appear, then it is more likely a rooster.

Hard to tell on these guys though.

This one below is my favourite.  Very unique colouring of feathers.  I hope it's a hen.  No reddish wattles under the beak.

This one on the right below is definitely a rooster.  And most likely the one on the left is a hen.

I'm thinking hen.  I don't see wattles just under the beak.

Introducing Baloo to the chicks.
