A survivor hen that was not expected to live

On Thanksgiving Day, we thought that a young chicken (3-month old) had healed enough to finally release from isolation.  I'm glad that despite her being scared, the other chickens didn't bully her.  I hope that holds true tomorrow.

She was attacked by something we never figured out while she was inside the run. This hen was badly injured a couple of months ago that the vet suggested over the phone to euthanize her. We didn't have the heart to do it so we tried to bandage her up. Her gizzard was torn off that the food and water was leaking and her sides had been ripped open along her full length. But look at her now. This is her first time outside her cage since the attack 2 months ago.  This is one of the small things for which we should be thankful.
